Parky, it's out of your hands now. Just sit and wait for a decision like the rest of us. Whether or not to change now is a mistake or not is not your decision to make just as the decision to wrongly appoint you in the first place wasn't. Sit tight, I'm sure it won't be long.
  • Did anyone expect him to say that he was the wrong man for the job?

Spoke to Parky the other day (rubs chin furiously) and he said that as a result of an on the spot poll of all men present in the Charlton Athletic dressing room on Sunday going by the name of Phil Parkinson- when asked the question of who they most wanted to be Charltons manager in League 1 next season- the name that came out 100% of the time was none other than Phil Parkinson, how's that for spooky?!!

Is it me, or does it seem to be taking a long time for the board to come to a decision? A lot of other clubs have not wasted any time fecking about in terms of managment talks, player releases/signings, etc. I though we wanted to kill any uncertainty & get next seasons prep' underway asap. Could it be there is something a-brewing in terms of takeover, or are the board gonna let Parkinson slide into the job without any announcement, & hope we don't notice?

I really can`t believe the decision to hire or fire has not been made. We know about Parkinson and nothing new about him can come from the review whatever that means. Not fair on him imho.
  • I think the board would get rid of him if they could.
But with a possible 1.5 mill court mess with dowie being sorted out and our obvious financial mess, doesnt look like we can afford to pay him off. Which would lead to paying off backroom staff/coaches as a new manager would want to bring his own team in.

The only way parky will go is if Varney comes in with this secret takeover bid

If only Parky was as honest as Van Basten!
