Jethro RIP

Cornish comedian Jethro passed away yesterday from Covid. RIP to one funny man

  • RIP Jethro
  • I spent an evening drinking with him in early 90’s in Newquay (my mate’s Dad had a business down there, and was friends with him) - Jethro was brilliant company, and so funny he made my stomach hurt through laughter

    RIP
  • Saw him a couple of times.  A very funny man.

    RIP

RIP. Seen him a couple of times and was actually watching some old videos of him last night. Old school comedian whose one liners were awful but always made you laugh.

JD and Rick Stein will be devastated.

Oh, no ....... Jethro is a legend down here in Cornwall.

You really had to see him perform live to appreciate him at his best.
And if you understood the local dialect and speech patterns, you always knew someone who spoke and sounded just like him. Exaggerated, sure - but it could be so true to local life. He had us in stitches.

RIP Jethro. A favourite son of Cornwall.

  • Ah no what a shame. I went to see him at the Circus Tavern in Purfleet. After the show he came out and mingled in the bar with everybody, walking round and shaking everybody's hand asking if we enjoyed the show. He was a really funny man. RIP I hope Denzel will be ok.

Genuinely funny man and always seemed to have time for his public. Saw him and a few other acts filmed for TV once at his place in Lewdown and he came around the tables at the end.

    RIP.

    Oh damn it!
Was one of my very favourite comedians, there is some terrific footage of him on YouTube that are absolutely side splitting.
Find the time to watch them folks, you’ll not regret it.

    RIP……Jethro…...RIP.
