two more relegations and we get to salivate about a Wembley appearance in The fa vase or fa trophy or whatever other stuff becomes available to the shittier teams in the footballing pyramid
Two more cup wins this season and we'll be going to Wembley.  Half a dozen in the FA Cup and we'll be going again.  And, if we fail to secure a top-two slot in the league, we might make it three times this season.

If we got to Wembley I would go, but in the spirit of edgy radical protest against the competition will only buy the cheapest ticket.
    That’ll show ‘em.

Will go to that, surprised to learn from Jim White that the last playoff final for Charlton 'didn't end well'
Well, he didn't say for whom it didn't end well, did he?
  • Remember the Full Members thing or whatever it was. Went on the Sun in the Sands coach, which got there too late to see them running out. Didn't Ron Noades start this trophy?

All the ties are North v South what is the odds of that happening?.
I calculate it to be an 8 in 35 chance (or just under 23%).
If all the ties were North v South (with North at home) then there would be a 1 in 70 chance of that but if it is North playing South at whatever venue (which is the case) then I make @SideshowBob bob on with his calculation.

Bored waiting for someone in a doctor’s appointment.

Hartlepool just beat Blackpool in the FA cup. They could be better opposition than first thought.

They’ll make 9 changes and Callum will tell us they’ve still go a strong team out 😉

Better than Blackpool and those other 4 teams thought this season, whereas Jackson has been taking the cup games seriously, clearly understanding their true worth, Charlton won’t be Hartlepool’s sixth scalp

The Addicks will head to @Official_HUFC in the quarter-finals of the @PapaJohnsTrophy on Tuesday, January 25th #cafc | http://cafc.co.uk

  • Wonder if Gallen will be at the Arsenal/Chelsea game today. Probably some decent players amongst those under 23s clubs.

Couple of latest scores from round 3:

    Arsenal U21 4-1 Chelsea U21 (76 mins) - winner hosts Wigan

Cambridge 2-1 Pompey (82 mins) - winner travels to Rotherham
  • Both games finished that way.

The Arsenal/Chelsea game was played at The Emirates incidentally, the lowest crowd there ever?
  • Just booked trains and hotel

    Hartlepool v Charlton

    Sutton v Harrogate

    Arsenal U21 v Wigan

    Rotherham v Cambridge
  • You'd expect Wigan and Rotherham to both win. Hopefully we win and then get Sutton/Harrogate.

Wish it was still regionalised though, especially as making it an open draw makes no sense with the lack of crowds.
  • Looking forward to the game against your club. Seems like a lot of mutual respect between both sets of fans, I think your friends down the road have taken the huff, because we dared to suggest we could of got a better fa cup tie.

I think we should get a reasonable crowd of 4000 to 5000 for this. Anyway best of luck apart from on the night, I think it's time you let us have a run out at Wembley.

Sutton play some lovely football, if they get promoted they will be hard to beat with the players we have now.

Quite a few Wigan fans on twitter saying Sutton were one of the best sides to play there this season.
