Within 10 minutes of the final whistle last night, i'd had about 15 texts from different folk enquiring about the possibility of a ticket for Wembley. 5 of them were Charlton fans.
Name em and shame em Groucho, we will do the rest ;-)

On holiday? A large number of fair weather Millwall fans seem to have been on holiday since May 2004, but for some reason now seem to be re-appearing.
About 5 of my neighbours have suddenly remembered that they are lifelong millwall fans!

    Pathetic support.
Wonder how many suddenly remembered they supported Charlton after the 1998 play-off final?

[cite]Posted By: Groucho78MFC[/cite]Probably a bit rich for the likes of Charlton to be talking about "large numbers of fairweather support"? Difference is, we're Millwall......we've got SMALL numbers of fairweather support.

It wasn't me before anyone assumes but i did ask about how we could buy a couple for the 1st leg.

15 different people was stretching it, but claiming 5 charlton was when your nose really started to grow.

The difference is that a large majority then stayed and watched us over the years as our attendances grew, yours turned up for the auto windscreen final then disappeared, then came back for an FA Cup semi and the final then disappeared again. Your fans only turn up for a big day out (Wembley) or for a fight (Hull away) and your average home attendance was less than 9k this season, pathetic.

Fair play to the Leeds fans last night.

Pretty much the whole ground stood for 90 mins.

East and West Stand at our place dont even stand when we score :)

I think a lot of those supporters have forgotten again!

Go to any pub and there will be a few people who claim to be millwall fans and you'll hear the milllllllllllllll chant at kick out time, yet the ground is always half empty. When you get reach a final half the houses in South London suddenly have a millwall flag in the window. You can't compare that to Charlton.

Ok, so had a lovely night with my sister, niece & her friends at QI (v funny). Go for a drinky after & a cheeky chappy comes over & asks are we having a good night? My young niece & her 2 friends look terrified, i look over & spy a prancing Lion on his lapell (?). I take it your in a good mood, i ask, pointing at said badge. Oh you know what it means, he says, are you going? No, says i, i would not pay good money to watch that shower. He guessed eventually that i was Charlton & went away. Only he came back again & handed me his business card telling me if i really wanted he could get me tickets for Wembley. I looked at him earnestly, took his left hand in my right, & as i shook it i said, 'you have a job? Your family must be so proud' LLLBH X

Ther's going to be 49,500 jester hat wearing face painted arseholes at Wembley. That's higher than anything the old den ever had.
