Dobson: 7.5 Is headed toward POTY if he keeps this level of consistency up. Fear he will be nabbed from us in the summer.
Matthews: 6 Cross for our goal was of real quality, otherwise would have been a 5.
Gilbey: 5 Pretty anonymous and thought he looked half asleep on a couple of occasions.
Lee: 6 Pleased he got his goal and worked pretty hard.
DJ; 5 Worked quite hard but was wasteful with the space he created for crosses
Burstow: 4 Young man, am sure he will go on to great things, but League One’s hustle bustle is a tough environment to show your worth, unless you are playing for a team in which lots of chances are being created and from which you can shine by putting one or two away. All round game needs a lot of work.
Leko: 6 Not as effective as he should be at this level, but on 2-3 occasions he mugged Wigan off with really sharp turns before moving through his gears. One of the game’s highlights for me.

Opposition: 5 If this side are worthy of second it proves how crap this league is and how badly we have executed our strategy for promotion this season. Very underwhelmed by Wigan.

MacG: 5 - his inability to come for crosses is beyond redemption and is a major weakness targeted by opponents. Some poor distribution as well
Clare: 5 - a good athlete and ball carrier but a very foolish and inept challenge to concede the penalty. I would like to see Lavelle back in the side
Innis: 7 - played pretty well and did his best to hold together a flaky defence
Purrington: 5 - got caught out on a few occasions and didn’t really look comfortable playing out of position
Dobson: 7 - our only truly consistent player
Matthews: 5 - a lovely cross for our goal but abominable defending for their first
Gilbey: 5 - a good effort against the bar but faded from view. Not good enough
Lee: 6 - started really well but, like the rest of the team, was too passive after the first 20 minutes
DJ; 6 - good physicality (something many in the team lack) and ability to beat a man. However, the final ball is usually disappointing
Burstow: 5 - little service and couldn’t make an impact on the game
Leko: 5 - some really good turns early on but faded out of the game. In fairness, he’s not a striker but we were down to the bare bones
Referee: 5 - quite fussy but managed to miss 3 penalties. Mind you, as 2 were for Wigan, we can have no complaints
Opposition: 6 - not impressed but, notwithstanding our injuries, it is dispiriting when, for the second time this week, a team playing well below par can beat us without getting into top gear simply by being vaguely efficient. It says a lot about how far short we’ve fallen

Clare: 5.5 gave away a soft penalty, but then I thought Matthews got done far too easily.

Matthews: 5.5 got beat too easily for their pen, and then left the man leaving Clare to deal with it.

Burstow: 6 worked hard. No service. Lacks confidence and there was a pocket of twatty fans who crucified every mistake he made
