You can just say my agent will be in touch regarding the pay off settlement, put the phone down and it's done.
Bit shit house isn't it?
or
5min telephone conversation, 5 mins of alone time to reflect, then spend the rest of the day with family and kids
i know which one I would prefer15 -

don't understand the hoohah over how he was told he was going. At the end of the day it's the same result. I was made redundant after 26 years service for a Bank in the City and wasn't afforded a leaving do or even a collection as was the norm when folk usually left but I soon got over it.4

I think a phone call is the correct way to dismiss someone. Nobody wants others to see their raw emotions or having to complete the walk of shame out of the building.
In this instance JJ will have the opportunity to compose himself and get his thoughts in order and enjoy coming in to pick up his things and have a chat with friends and colleagues and say his goodbyes.1 -

I was made redundant on the spot face to face and it was horrible. I think i'd prefer to be told over the phone.0

When he told me, I was of the view that what they did was illegal, but this did happen
He wasn’t bothered - got a decent payoff - went on holiday for 3 months (he was already divorced, no children) - came back, got a new job, with the added satisfaction that whilst he had been away his previous employer had gone bust 😄9 -

Maybe they should use the phone? Surely better than the humiliation described.1 -

If Jackson agreed that 4231 etc etc had his full support then ditched it at the first opportunity, how would you feel if it was your money?0 - Sponsored links:

I am grateful that my season ticket is the same price.
I just wish he would put in a proper CEO if the COO is not that post and step back a bit.
The trouble is if it was my money I wouldn't be able to do that .0 -
He owns the club but if he wants the majority of fans onboard he has to run it properly. If he doesn't care and just wants to do it his way, he is going to fail which will threaten the future of the club.2

Actions speak louder than words. That isn't saying one thing or the other, just that maybe it isn't enough at this point to say how good the future is going to be until the clear evidence is there.0

If I invested my money into something I had no experience in (let’s say an estate agent for arguments sake) - I would absolutely make my first move get someone in who knows property and running successful estate agencies.
It’s the best way to protect my investment in that situation because it certainly isn’t my game.9
