We all make mistakes in our careers and deserve the opportunity to show we have learnt from them.
I'd take Hughton.1 -

No thanks on Hughton7

It’s funny with Hughton and shows that you really are only as good as your last job, he has been highly rated on here before the forest run and I am sure if we had got him prior to that there would have been real excitement.I wonder if the same people who wouldn’t want him also wanted to keep Jackson when the situation is very similar, except Hughtons CV is far more gleaming and indicates he can do something special at this club.
personally I’d take him. Can work one of two ways, he uses his last job as motivation and earns his reputation back a bit, or he finds out for himself that the game has lost him a bit. No more a risk than any other manager we have been linked with, unfortunately when you’re a league 1 side, Hughton is about the best option you will get3 -
No one mentioned Jason Tindall, former player, plenty of coaching experience at the top level, might fancy a crack at management and a move back down Sarf.4
-
Or is Chris Hughton a manager on his way down rather than up?5
-
Let’s face it. Whoever is chosen it’s a gamble. Whoever it is whether I’m excited or disappointed will make absolutely no difference to the outcome. On that basis I’ll get behind them and give them my full support. What other option is there.2

Now that's a very very interesting name to throw into the mix Large! Definitely got the coaching experience.
Not one I'd even had on my radar.0 -
Exciting times at Newcastle on the horizon so might be a strange time for him to jump ? Might fancy being number one but I’m not sure we could tempt him at present.2

I'm not normally impatient, and def not in the wetting yourself brigade, but the longer this drags on and the more we see our "targets" slippng away, well, i give you our new up and coming manager...Mr Jason Euell....
PS this is not a request, but sods law popping up again..0 -

He's been a part of the problem.
We need a fresh start with somebody else.7 -

If I was Tindall, I would sit tight, enjoy the spending spree in the summer, and then take the massive pay off when you're not top 6 at the end of September6

Except we should be taking that time preparing for a promotion push next season. You haven't been paying attention if you don't think this process will drag on and it will put us behind our rivals in terms of preperation. Ferguson would be as good as anybody we are likely to get and taking time on the right man sounds good but means little. Was Adkins the right man? Basically anybody we get will have had both success of failure or be inexperienced, but we have just sacked an inexperienced manager who hardly got the chance to fail.
Ok I will wait and see if we get a new manager next week, but I can see this dragging and fans getting ever more desperate. It is how we do it and I believe that until I see evidence to the contrary.2 -
The longer it goes on the more concerning it’ll be, but what evidence is there that news won’t emerge in the next few days with an appointment made next week?
I’m concerned next season could go horribly wrong, but there’s no evidence either way yet.12 - Sponsored links:

A quick appointment would help me think I could be.1 -

Ferguson has only been successful at Peterborough for whatever reason, hope he's not one we're considering.4
