    Mane has been a fantastic player, but the comparison isn't that like for like.  Playing left wing in a 442 in the 90s/00s etc (and then in a midfield 3 later) was very different to playing left of a 3 up top like Mane.  Especially when Liverpool have deliberately played for Mane and Salah to get forward more than Firmino.

    As evidenced by the assists pet game for Giggs v the goals per game for Mane:

    Middlesbrough played every game in every competition they entered in 1996/97, given they reached both Cup finals, but still got relegated because of a game that they originally didn't play.

    No thanks, we need an experienced up and coming manager who’s been promoted from League 1 several times before.

    Watford have only been relegated once since we got relegated from the premier league.

    Aye, have to admit I had a Google as was sure this was their third relegation. Admittedly they did also get relegated same season as us too
