Cat and Pumpkin

Can anyone tell me WTF that cat and pumpkin thing is all about between Waterloo E and Charing X? Bizarre! As is this thread to anyone who doesn't know what I am talking about. Explanation:

A wooden cut out of a white, startled looking cat stuck on a bird table type thing with a (now decomposing) pumpkin on it by the railway line.

    It's art, innit.

    Menier Chocolate Factory (remembered the sign on the wall nearby) is an art gallery.

    I think it represents man's desire to reach for immortality (cat) where conversely his spirit descends into the quagmire of futility (pumpkin) and it is all held up by the capitalistic money merry go round (bird table).

    Right on, Sco.

    I've got 4 cats, no pumpkins and no bird table at home. Immortality must be within reach, minus the futility ofcourse.
