Charlton's pre-season campaign will take in a trip to Forest Green Rovers.

The Addicks will head to The New Lawn on Saturday, July 18th (3pm) to take on the Blue Square Premier outfit as their preparations for life in League One continue in earnest.

  • It's a bit of a trek but at least you can get a pint in the ground.

    Directions to Forest Green Rovers
  • Wouldn't surprise me if that was a clause for buying Fleetwood last season.

Followed by a bus ride. I might have to find a designated driver for this one.

Do you live near Forest Hill? I'm also a se23ite.

Personally I quite like non-league friendlies, always a good laugh, looks like there's a decent bar at the ground as well.

date coincides with the 3rd round of the Open.

sorry - but will be t home watching events unfold at Turnbury instead of watching a CAFC 11 do bugger all in deepest wherever. BTW - Fleetwood wont be with us by then in any case

Yeah it is related to the Fleetwood deal, just as the Barnet friendly is related to the Sinclair deal.

Hard thing to stomach is that they're now only two divisions below us!!! It's an important season for Fleetwood. Scored for fun in League Two last season and should find League One a much easier environment to score goals than the Championship. Here's hoping he's the regular goalscorer we have so sorely lacked in the last few years...

But...according to the SLP.......Fleetwood "probably" will have left by then.....

If anything highlights what has happened to us in the last 3 years, then that does!

Erm... no he didn't. He scored 3 goals in 8 or 9 games, starting nearly all of them.

He had that good game in which he scored twice and I think he scored the game before or after that.

This was also in a good team that eventually got promoted.

If he was that good he'd have at least come on as a sub in the Championship, he hasn't even made his debut for us yet.

We've seen just why Dickson didn't get a start for a long time, and Fleetwood isn't even as good as Dickson yet.
