And no one remembers Lennie the Legend .... ?

Without his input, none of the youngsters on here would have had any heroes.

There would have been no Charlton, you'd be supporting Palarse or the Spanners.
Or Chelski, Arse, Manure plastics who'd never seen them play, but wore the replica shirt.

Step forward, Lennie Lawrence ....... the club owes you one hell of a debt.
You were the glue that held it all together when it the club was in it's death throes.

    Now that's a legend.

    Obviously all mentioned
especially my boyhood hero and namesake
from my second childhood Eddie Firmani was a real footballer, very special
however may I suggest an honourable mention for:
    Simon Webster
...and why did the absolutely brilliant brilliant brilliant Richard Rufus not get a testimonial (not for the money, but so we could honour him)?

    Quite unbelievable really ...

Legend is not necessarily the best player Ive seen.

I am 27 so dont remember Leary, Bartram, Wright, Firmani

    But I do remember

    LEABURN
