If that is the case it would have been easier if the club (via the owners relations) had kept quiet on social media as it gives far more focus to the Crawley tweet as a resultbalham red said:
Yes could be the compo for his coaching staff/or Garner himself, but clearly this is the hold up.The Red Robin said:balham red said:

It's a protracted negotiation period, Garner is clearly aware that's ongoing.
The issue is that negotiations don't normally take this long. Looks like a game of chicken between TS and the Swindon chairman on the compo, with both clubs needing to get their pre season arrangements going. However, it also appears both clubs are already planning for the switch - Garner has discussed recruitment with Gallen already, and Swindon are actively looking for a new manager.
While pre season hasn't actually begun yet, neither club needs to blink. And I suspect both TS and his wife are putting out denials to make it appear we have other options and won't be held over a barrel.
Either TS is getting tighter with his funds after Zynex stock falling, or he hasn't seen the harm in protracting it out a little longer. Either way, it does appear that next week will be the end game on this saga.Although Cawley says compensation with Swindon has been agreed - maybe that was just for Garner?
The sticking point appears to be whether Garner is coming alone or with his coaching staff.
Cawley obviously got his info from the Swindon side, and they've likely briefed him with a version that intensifies the pressure on TS, as it has.3 -
So sounds like Garner is done and agreed but the coaching staff aren’t yet for whatever reason and TS wants to announce all of them at once.0
-
They say the 2 months between the season ending and a new one starting as the "silly season"
just looks like we've moved it up a notch.8 -
Years ago Chairmen kept their mouths shut, the good old days.2

Or maybe Garner will only sign when his two mates do.The Red Robin said:So sounds like Garner is done and agreed but the coaching staff aren’t yet for whatever reason and TS wants to announce all of them at once.4 -
Or Garner won’t join without them. The Red Robin said:So sounds like Garner is done and agreed but the coaching staff aren’t yet for whatever reason and TS wants to announce all of them at once.3 -
Sometimes it's best to say nothing.
This has "bypass the comms team" written all over it.
Huh..2 -
p.s. who checks the syntax of this drivel???0

Finally, a much needed clarification:

May as well lock up and turn off the lights now till official announcement made..how many more times can we go round in circles looking for "the truth"..this is getting very tiresome...🥱0

Screams of throwing toys out of the pram because they haven’t managed to control the story.
Find the whole sarcastic comment towards Cawley as very strange too. He’s a journalist doing his job, no more, no less.
The statement is a lot of nothing and not really much of anything.
They’ll be in the UK soon and I am guessing that we give it a few days and a proper statement with a full announcement will be made. I just don’t understand the need for all of this especially when Garner will be the manager.
The way some of our supporters think, they’ll now want the club to provide a statement on every story and if they don’t it’s 100% going to be true/happen. There was no need for any of this.25 -
I wonder if Garner has received a better last minute offer from another club that operates with more competency and speed with its appointments. Sounds like it may be Chris Wilder all over again.1

One hell of a lot of this ownership feels very RD.North Lower Neil said:

No. No one on talking to Thomas on LinkedIn will have suggested it's done as the line on there was until recently that interviews were ongoing and we had a shortlist that had been wittled down to less than 5 (a week or so ago). The leaks are from elsewhere.cabbles said:
I read and thought, don’t a lot of the leaks emanate from these individuals TS chooses to share things via LinkedIn from though?balham red said:

Starting to feel sorry for Garner now. A lot of fans already needed winning over as he’s an ‘underwhelming’ appointment, but this complete circus is just going to make the job even harder. The statement from the club is not necessary and just comes across as spiteful.8

Can’t wait till we’re good enough for a club in a higher division to come and poach our coaches , director of football etc
imagine the bitching and teardrops from the worlds biggest crybaby supporters then ….
look forward to that day2 -
Rather than this being about TS wanting to be centre of attention in the announcement (as pointed out he wasn’t for Adkins or Jackson) is this about TS feeling it gives him a stronger negotiating position, e.g. for the coaches salaries and Swindon’s compensation?Perhaps they want to give the impression they have another option as manager if deals can’t be agreed?
It’s got to be resolved soon for Swindon’s season as well as ours.1 -
All very non league, amateur.3

Scarfy is poised and the large lady is gargling. Thomas Sandgaard is in negotiations with Ollie Groome about if he gets double time for Sunday announcements. This may drag on to next week now but quite rightly Thomas Sandgaard didn't want this news to over shadow the Queen's Jubilee so fair play to him.
Raelynn Maloney is a tease.0 -

Certainly not, that's far too logical.Scoham said:Rather than this being about TS wanting to be centre of attention in the announcement (as pointed out he wasn’t for Adkins or Jackson) is this about TS feeling it gives him a stronger negotiating position, e.g. for the coaches salaries and Swindon’s compensation?Perhaps they want to give the impression they have another option as manager if deals can’t be agreed?

What on earth is the point in all this.
Have they brought RD in to ghost write the statement and PR strategy? All it's missing is the repetitive punctuation at the end.
GET ON WITH CHOOSING, AGREEING TERMS WITH AND ANNOUNCING A MANAGER.6 -
The leak has clearly come from the Swindon end because they are interviewing for a new manager.............Dazzler21 said:

As a side point, all this does is further strengthen the point about not having a CEO here running things properly on a day to day basis. With a proper CEO, how much of this would have either been sorted by now or got as out of hand as it has? Controlling the narrative is difficult as it is, controlling it from Colorado is even harder.29

That club statement reads like splitting hairs and being pedantic. If there was a 2 horse race with someone else in the frame I could understand it, not as it seemingly stands.
A dignified silence and let the leaked news stay out there on its own would have been sensible. I like that TS wants to communicate with fans but this is becoming a farce.6 -
Nobody but TS can make the announcement.
Definite write the theme tune, sing the theme tune vibes.5 -
If it was to give the impression to Swindon Town FC, I would have thought they won't believe it, as there would have been another leak in the same way as this one. The only exception perhaps if another manager was not with a club currently. Even then not likely to make the owner of Swindon not think he is holding an ace.Scoham said:Rather than this being about TS wanting to be centre of attention in the announcement (as pointed out he wasn’t for Adkins or Jackson) is this about TS feeling it gives him a stronger negotiating position, e.g. for the coaches salaries and Swindon’s compensation?Perhaps they want to give the impression they have another option as manager if deals can’t be agreed?
