Jeez. I joined CL nearly 16 years ago (shortly after it started). Have endured the highs and lows, lived thru RD, Spivs, ESI but never stopped going. TS has spent millions and saved us from certain doom. He isn't right with everything...but who is? The sense of entitlement of some individuals on here to verbally attack and criticise amazes me - he's the guy who owns us - get over it. Yes we all want a manager sorted and ready when the window opens on the 10th June and we all want success on the pitch...but give the guy some time. Social media and the ease with which we can all 'particpate' in discussion has made it so easy to moan and this thread is one of the worst I can remember. Give it a rest.64

I'm absolutely sick to death of circus owners and unfortunately I like many other can see TS being a well intentioned circus owner. The evidence is stacking up and many are over reacting but you can't deny how amateur they appear to be.7 -
There is an increasingly popular conspiracy theory on Twitter that Garner has been secretly on contract to CAFC since June 1988 and is, in fact, the long lost nephew of TS. A genetically cloned double of Garner had his perm surgically removed at a clinic in Switzerland in 1989 before he was deliberately placed undercover in Swindon as part of a cunning scheme to recruit him using advanced black-box technology pioneered by MS.
People may scoff but it does explain the delay and why we would spend weeks to appoint an unproven manager from the fourth tier and his two mates.

If Garner is announced soon, be that at a press conference complete with dancing girls and the like, or not, I'd like to hear more about those 'other shareholders' Thomas said were coming over with him.
Perhaps they were the 'suits' seen in the Chairman's office yesterday and are bringing in sufficient extra funding to salvage 'HMS P*ss' the League' from the murky depths.

I don't think that's true. If there's a clear plan and strategy, I think most of us would overlook poor results in the short-medium term. Adkins had no plan, Jacko had no plan B and it didn't work out- the football was either awful or boring. IF Garner is appointed and there's something to get behind, I think most people will be happy. Charlton fans are no harder to please than anyone else. Sausagedog111 broke the Garner story before everyone! According to the sausage, Garner was interviewed 2.5 weeks ago on the Saturday, and agreed to join us on the following Monday. Got that sorted, had a meeting with Gallen at the training ground, then buggered off on holiday while interclub negotiations rumbled on.0 -
