But we have the option to buy him back.
He rubbished that rumour on twitter.
Strange one that. It was on the OS that we had the option

Maybe we’ve lined up several signings that’ll all be announced…

    1) when the window opens

    2) after the manager is announced

    3) 1st July after contracts expire

    4) on the pitch with TS when he’s next over, he loves the limelight

    5) random date related to accounting/tax

    6) after we’ve sold Dobson/CBT so there’s some good news

Or we’ll just announce each signing soon after they’ve been completed.

    7) we will announce them all 5 games in in the last 48 hours before the window slams shut.

    Don’t like option 6, but it’s a possible.

Liverpool have signed Fabio Carvalho from Fulham. The deal nearly went through in January, but fell through

Everton have been linked with Chris Maxwell as their No 3 keeper, which would be yet another former Charlton keeper in the PL (well sort of seeing that he never played a game for us!)

Nabs has been released by Huddersfield. I’d have him back but I expect he’s got loftier ambitions.

Ex Qpr midfielder Dominic Ball has joined Ipswich.

That is two in two days for them.

Solid signing that, I mentioned him as one I hoped we might look at given he can play CB & DM, although I guess given we've got Dobson a guy who is primarily a DM isn't top of the priority list (even if Ipswixh weren't more organised than we are & willing to pay more).

They didn't do well last season given what they spent but with their new manager they picked up and now have the basis of a very strong squad for L1 having barely conceded in the last 20 or so games.  Much rather their squad right now than ours.  Theirs needs tinkering, ours needs overhauling (again!).

Smart business by Bradford .. though odd that he's staying put in L2 after playing very well and scoring a play off final goal for Port Vale .. Kian Harratt: Bradford City sign Huddersfield Town striker on season-long loan - BBC Sport

  • Looks like Liverpool are pushing the boat out with Mane wanting to go and City getting Haaland.

They've bid €80m + add ons that could rise to 100m for Benfica's Darwin Nunez. A far cry from their usual 'buy a guy for 40m and turn him into a 100m player'.

You mean apart from the world record fees they have paid for a keeper and a center back recently?

Good signing for them. Exactly the type of player we need and one I think that we were interested in but as happens regularly, many League One targets sign for a Championship club.
