Apparently Gomez was the only other player that finished it last season.
  • The only other premier league players you could compare him to for longevity would be Ronaldo and Thiago Silva. It's clearly no coincidence that none of them drink alcohol.

I’ve never drunk alcohol but I still get exhausted walking to the fridge some days.

Crazy how he can do all of that with Asthma. Also crazy how many players have Asthma in that Liverpool team...

Hopefully they'll get caught this season, surely only a matter of time.

Does he still hold the record for youngster player to appear in the Premier League as well? One of those players that fans don't always appreciate, but managers most certainly do.

Not even in the top 10.

And how many of those have/will play for 10 years let alone more than 20 years at the top?

Jose Baxter played seven games for Everton
Izzy Brown played one game for WBA and another one Chelsea
Rushian Hepburn-Brown had 13 appearances for Aston Villa
Matthew Briggs - 13 matches for Fulham and had had 14 clubs. Now plays for Gosport Borough
Jack Robinson made just three appearances in a Liverpool shirt

Lennon and the injury prone Wilshere played in the PL for a decent period but none of the above ten will get near Milner. He is a freak but also someone who looks after himself and loves the game. Possess those two traits and you give yourself a chance of a decent career.

Before every season, Liverpool subject their players to an endurance exercise which consists of doing laps of the field until exhaustion.
At 36, James Milner has finished first in this exercise for the eighth year in a row

He may not have been the best in any one position. But, in terms of versatility, there haven't been many that have had a better career or played over 700 games. He remains the ultimate pro in what is his 21st season and a fine example to any young footballer:

Apparently when the superb Billy Bonds was getting on a bit as a player at West ham United, if any other player, particularly any new signing, joshed Billy a bit or made reference to his age, he would there and then challenge them to a race over any distance of their choice.
    He always won seemingly.

Ha! Well I guess that about dates when I stopped caring that much about the Premier League!

Look at the state of him. Sad to see a top athlete like him let himself go like that. A bit of self respect man. you’re only 36.
