Monty Norman the composer of the iconic James Bond theme music has died aged 94.

    My wife taught his grandkid when we lived in North London. His ex wife, Diana Coupland (who sang Underneath The Mango Tree in Dr No) donated a James Bond picture that he had signed to a fundraising auction for the school. Roland Rivron agreed to be the auctioneer for the event and ended up bidding for it himself, seem to remember it went for a fairly decent price.

    I ended up winning another picture she donated, a promotional shot of Bless This House that she and Sid James had signed.
