Me and my daughter's fiancé will be there for 12 and have a wonder around the pubs. Will follow any leads on here for where the fans are drinking :).

I'll be pointing the car north hopefully via the A515 the best road in England if I get up in time. The start of my 52nd season supporting the addicks. Let's hope they inspire me to do more than the one away I did last season. Milton Keynes was enough
  • I be there via Manchester Bolton and Rays Cabs

Me and my son on the 8:30 to Preston. The pub by 11am - could be a long day!

  • Are the trains ok on Saturday I thought there was a rail strike.
I haven't really checked as we're driving up.

Anyone know how many tickets we've sold for this?

Around 800 Addicks are set to make the trip to the Wham Stadium and Garner had a message for the travelling fans.

“In the current situation, with the cost of living and inflation etc, anyone travelling and spending their money to come and support us I really do salute,” he explained. “It’s hard at the best of times but at the moment anyone choosing to do that and spending their hard-earned money to follow their team is fantastic. It’s what the game is all about.

If you are on a crawl, The Grey Horse is only a 5 minute walk from the ground and an ideal spot to end up in as the last port of call before kick off.
Nice relaxing pub with friendly staff and locals.

Enjoy all - I went up there last season on the coach.  Some young kid got so smashed we couldn’t let him back on afterwards.  Had to leave him in Accrington.

The last time I went to Accrington the trains back to Preston were cancelled for an hour plus.
It was like waiting at the end of the world.
