Razors - not one for the ladies

Need to buy a new razor after years with the Wilkinson's double blade but with the number of these new styles about I'm a bit confused which one to buy. (I've heard there are vibrating ones which I wouldn't want to get confused with my mobile phone). Anyone recommend a decent razor?

I've been using the ones from gillette with about 20 blades on them, very bloody expensive but good

I'd go for gilette, but check out the price of the blades before you buy one. What seems a good deal on the razor, will not be once you see that you need to take out a mortgage to get nice new sharp blades.

    Ask your personal grooming consultant.

What do you mean you don't have one?

Lend him yours Henry, may get a decent razor with a cardi thrown in ... I am sure you only wear them under advisement.

Seriously though - Gillette Mach 3 is the best.
You can even use tesco blades in it which are much cheaper.

I've been using a Mach 3 for years and it's still excellent - two-day's growth is no problem at all. The new blades still fit the old razor, the aloe vera blade is very good.

I only ever buy cheap supermarket own brand, think anything else is a waste of money, if you lather up probably and then shave properly they work just as well as Gillette blades or any other major brand.

the new king of shaves 4 blader is the dogs nuts. It's half the price of gillette and does just as good a job.

Gillette Fusion Power - comes out tops in most of the surveys I've seen.

Gives you a dlade on the back you can use to trim those hard to get places!
  • I recently switched from a Mach 3 to King of Shaves razor. I can't say I've noticed much difference between them but I did get less razor burn from the KoS razor.

beats paying about £9 for 5 from boots etc.

Wilkinson Sword sell a similar one that has a small set of clippers on the end and costs the same!

Apparently razor blades and batteries are the most shoplifted items in UK supermarkets.
