With all this chat about unfaithful sellers, I've got a more uplifting story.

I recently enquired about the measurements of the above shirt, and a day or so later I recieved a reply from Classic11 letting me know that when measuring the shirt they'd noticed it was infact an unofficial replica.

They apologised for letting it slip through their checks and said they would now have to remove it from the site as they're a strictly 'official' shop.

Finished off the email by saying that I was now welcome to have it for free, if I fancied covering the postage costs. So for a few quid I've now got myself a decent looking shirt to wear to the gym.

They didn't have to say anything, given that it was clear I was already interested in the shirt, so it's a great gesture in my opinion.

Not sure if they have any other Charlton shirts on there now, but would 100% reccomend them, very genuine bunch.

    It's now listed at £74
  •  Same price as a Toffs remake now, fair enough.. might snap it up. Bit different i suppose.

....and unlike all the otehr new re makes, this has an Adidas badge, so looks closer to the original than the ones Toffs or the clubshop re-makes.

  • Anyone able to date these shirts and explain any connection to Charlton.

Herfolge Boldklub is where we signed Martin Christensen from as a relative youngster. There was a bit of a song and dance about him but he never made a first team appearance.

Our link to Germinal Beerschot is more contentious, but I believe we once had a link with a team in the Ivory Coast who we signed multiple players from, who couldn't get visas at the time so they then went on loan to European clubs, and Beerschot was one of them

We signed a youth team player from MYPA - Jani Tanska.I think we had some kind of tie in with them as well.

    As for ASEC…. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/charlton_athletic/7244803.stm

Wasn’t there something in the contract that meant we had to pay a certain amount for his first, first team appearance? Or he got a large pay rise?

Question for the shirt collectors.  Why does this shirt, donated to the museum last week, have no sponsor? It doesn't appear to have washed off.

    Don't think so
  • Training or staff top? Or a prototype?

I saw a similar yellow version on Vinted this week. I run my own vintage clothing business so I see alot of football shirts (real and fake), I'm always on the lookout for Charlton stuff.

Bought after all sports went burst?

The all:Sports logo was applied felt on the 01-03 home shirt, and quite thick as well, not just heat applied plastic like modern sponsors, so highly unlikely to have come off.

I'm told by @SX_Addick that the red coq logo means it is from the first year of its use.

Does that tie up with them going bust?

It's huge (56" chest) so not matchworn unless it was Floyd the mascot

This is from 01-03. all:Sports went bust in 2005, which is when we changed to Llanera. We had another 2 home shirts with all:Sports after this one.

Allsports went bust during the 05-06 season, this is from 02-03.
Not sure why it wouldn't have the sponsor but may have just been excess stock? Seen plenty of Joma ones like it.
