He Mentioned afterwards that was his first sending off, which the way he’s been a few times this season does surprise me. One of my most favourite sending offs I’ve seen at The Valley.
looking back, was hilarious how he proper lost it. Arms all over the place. Like a pissed up hoolie who’d run on the pitch and giving it to oppo fans while being hauled out by stewards.Can only remember Paulo Wanchope going down that tunnel in such an unruly way.
We’ll never know, but it’s a long while since our crowd was so supportive once our team went two goals down and looking toothless. Probably stopped a few people leaving at the point.

Where as I fall on the side of enjoying, and appreciating Garner’s reaction yesterday - I was surprised that he did it.I really like him as a manager, and he often says the right things in interviews, but always thought he was slightly detached from the fan base - though that could just be me being influenced from something I read about him from Swindon fans.I’m happy he seems to have bought into the club.5

Was talking to some Ipswich fans on the way out, one of them was a prick but the other one said without me even mentioning it that the free kick that lead to the goals was never a free kick.6

Once he got sent off, what Garner did was genius. Without him getting the crowd going I don’t see us getting back into that. Was quality to see the crowd behind him from where we were sitting.26

I must admit I thought the antics were a bit embarrassing at first but I do like that he's got this side of him. He seemed like a quiet, timid tactical manager at first but he's actually a bit of a nutter.11

Garner's exit was quality.
Shouting at the ref. Absolutely furious. Then hyping up the crowd. Then shouting at the ref. Then just shouting "CMONNNN"
I was pumped. What a game, man.

I think the only ones in the ground who saw that as a free kick was the officials. Joke decision. I like to see a bit of passion. I can certainly understand it. The ref was awful and followed on from an awful one on Tuesday. It is going to overflow. Garner loses this job and he might not get another one.1

Probably my favourite Charlton manager moment since Luzon did the touch line run after our 97th minute winner against Hull. It was amazing to see that kind of reaction from someone who is usually so diplomatic. There’s no doubt in my mind that it had an impact on the result.7

Makes me wonder if he unleashes that kind of emotion in the dressing room or training ground sometimes. He normally seems a pretty level headed and logical kind of chap so giving both barrels sometimes would be more effective if done in moderation.3
