Phenomenal director of theatre and dance. Her choreography and set design made a huge influence on mainstream theatre , film and ads. I know people who would literally travel the world to attend her workshops and see her company perform. A snippet of her work can be seen at the beginning of the film 'Talk to her' by Almodovar. (A film worth watching by the way ).

She first invented the Pina Bausch step (or moves if you prefer), which consisted mostly a sort of swaying, staggering, side to side stuttering foot movement.
Or more commonly know as the Pina Colada step.

Sounds more like me at a Wedding reception, but replace the Pina Colada with a pint of Doombar ;)
