    Died the same week as Nik Turner, one of the founders of Hawkwind.

    I’d forgotten about that interview.
    Tom Snyder must have thought at some point beforehand that he could handle them.
    Perhaps he thought that the hipster suntan and open neck shirt would create a connection! 😂

    RIP, great interview, haven't come across that before, The PIL documentary The Public Image Is Rotten is well worth a watch.

    Keith Levine features in that and also gets a mention a few times in the Viv Albertine book.

    Just a couple of weeks ago I worked at a show for Killing Joke (who put on a performance as good as their peak) and got chatting to them for a bit, they spoke quite a bit about that original PIL lineup, Jah Wobble and Levine, and The Ruts.  They left when I asked what they thought of The Slits, said it all.
