Have to say i thought he played very well- Veirra in style and very composed.

Haven't seen much being said about him today.

Am i in a minority of one?

nah he did look really good, was pleasantly surprised as not many gunners have good word say bout him.

hope he's up for the fight for the less glam games aswell thou

Saw the match on Al Queida TV.

I was quite impressed with Song - he looked the part compared to Faye.
Strong and can win tackles, not easily knocked off the ball, neat passing and good vision. Arsenal fans may think he's wank but much better than what we normally have.

he faded a bit in the second half, looked more handy in the first, brakes up play well and had good understandin with diawarra and bougy behind him

Song and ZZ did very well and should start next game, I think the main positive was that we had a new centre back pairing and 3 debutants and they have all had an introduction and can now concentrate on the rest of the season.

I think it will work in out favour that Faye got injured, ZZ came on earlier than he would have done and did well. Definately look like he can hack it in the prem, positive touches, looked a surprised at the pace of the game but it was good to blood him in before West Ham.

Big Bent tried hard, just wish he could hold the ball up better, I think with baby Bent on today they would have been a lot more worried.

Saha should have been booked at least and Ferdinand went in on Thatcher way too hard and if Thachter had gone done I think Ferdinand would have walked.

If we play with the same spirit and confidence for the next 10 games we might just do it.

Just be glad they didn't get a pen. I don't know what for, but Mike 'The Weasel' Riley was ref wasn't he? Sooner that cock retires the better.

I gota be honest i thought that song would be the worst of our signings going on what ive heard about him. After watching him today i cant wait to see him in action again. He is exactly the sort of player i like. he worked really hard and was involved in almost everything. reminded me of a bigger stronger smertin. Bougerra didnt look bad. Overall good work in the transfer window pards!

Watched game live here today...thought Song was very good. What I liked as well was he got into it with Rooney. He got stuck in on Rooney a couple of times and Rooney didn't like it. They had words a couple of times and Song didn't back down. Its about time we had someone like that in Midfield and other than Hermann not too many of our players do that. Bodes well for the run-in....
  • Charlton's MOTM for me. Really impressed. Can't add too much more than has already been said but ZZ and Bougherra also pretty good.

Dowie was using the new players excuse well into the season, Pardew has got a good game out of them straight away. Is it better players or better management?
