    is there a difference though between Head of Academy, and Head of Academy Recruitment ?

    I would say that it's a new job. Gritty in the Director of the academy.

    Dennis Coxall is the current Head of Recruitment at the Academy, has been for a while. I would guess he is well into his 60's and is probably up for retirement.
    My son attends the Advanced Training Centre at Sparrows ,which is a feeder to the academy, Dennis is often there observing.

    It was Dennis that alerted West Ham to Joe Cole and convinced Cole to sign for them.

    Good job it wasn't Dennis then, who persuaded Judas Defoe to sign foe West Ham. :-)
