[cite]Posted By: se9addick[/cite]Released by (Scottish First Division) St. Johnstone - surely he's no better than McLeod, Dickson or Burton ?

    or Fleetwood.

Well after Fleetwood's performance at Welling I'm not so sure !! Seems Fleetwood wasn't involved last night, bit strange, maybe he's injured ?

Quite a few players weren't involved last night.

Perhaps they'll play next against Bray?

I think they will yeah. Richardson will probably play some part as well.

Be interesting to see if the trialists get another game or not.

Does anyone know anything about O' Leary yet?

Well that Irish site said he was Chris O'Leary, but AFKA said one trialist came from Swansea. Graham Barrett has recently been playing Scotland, so it could be Kristian O'Leary who plays for Swansea.

First rule of PSF is that any player who doesn't play has ever got a career threatening injury or is about to be sold.

That sounds like it. Seems like a solid League 1/2 player with a good character so worth a look.

According to No1 Barrett wasn't fully fit.

The only sign of Charlton’s status at half time was a goal immaculately converted from the penalty spot by Deon Dublin on 13 minutes after Wexford’s keeper Pa Doyle had clattered Izale McLeod

Now we know how Wexford really rate us, lol:

"Real Madrid they ain’t. Indeed, although Charlton Athletic has spent most of its long history in the top flight of British soccer, they have never been one of its aristocrats. But, as a club rescued by its community to reclaim and refurbish its derelict stadium, Charlton was an appropriate choice to become the first English team to visit Ferrycarrig Park."

"There were a couple of late surprises in the visitors’ initial line up with former Irish international Graham Barrett, attempting to rebuild a career dogged by injury, on the left flank and former Swansea player Kris O’Leary, another trialist, at the heart of defence. O’Leary is Welsh ...."

Thank God for our opponents telling us about our team, we'd never know otherwise .......

Interesting the OS have decided to name the trialists. I guess they realised the names got out. One of the Irish sites doing the match reports put them up there first I think?
Yado Mambo, who missed the Wexford game with a knock, could also come into defensive contention and it remains to be seen whether the two trialists who featured on Sunday, versatile Swansea City man Kristian O'Leary and Republic of Ireland international Graham Barrett, will be involved.

its incredibly naive to think that they wouldn't get out in the first place. if you wish to give trialists a game and withhold their identity, then the only way you can do that is in games behind closed doors

Hi Sco, my earlier post (yesterday morning) on this thread quoted direct from the Wexford Youths OS - although I see now I didn't reference it.

You'd think if Charlton didn't want the names to come out, they'd try and make sure Wexford didn't mention them either.

Why couldn't they play with a large paper bag over their head ?
