Sasa Illic makes a brief appearance on the latest 'Cruising with Susan Calman' programme shown on Channel 5 last Friday.

Susan Calman visited his hotel Monte Bay Retreat, Montenegro whilst on a cruise and she briefly spoke to Sasa Illic. It looks a stunning place to stay.

Went to the Bay of Kotor last year! It's fantastic. Didn't make it to Perast, just gawped across from the other side

    Monkey Tennis ?
  • Managed to watch the programme, good to see Sasa again, shame they didn’t show any of the rooms, or do a guided tour with Sasa.

What the programme reminded me of though, is that Sasa has big hands, and is quite tall.

If you're on a cruise why do you need onshore hotels?

Susan Calman visited his retreat as part of a day trip away from the ship.

i'd imagine people can take a cruise to a destination stay onshore then get picked up and cruise home
  • I visited SAsa’s retreat about 6 years ago while on a motoring tour along Croatia & Montenegro.
Perast and the whole bay of Kotor are absolutely beautiful.
Mrs addictedoldgit & myself were staying in a waterside little apartment, we climbed up the steep hill to his place overlooking the bay
Sasa invited us in & was a perfect gentleman/host, a visit to remember.

This was the time of protest’s against Duchatelet, I was in the Belgium 20 group. Lots of imaginative scheme’s were constantly being discussed.
One such scheme was for a bunch of us to fly out to Perast.
We would film a recreation/mock up of SAsa’s Wembley penalty save!
Idea was to go public on 20th anniversary of that game.
Needless to say, the stunt never got off the ground!
Will try to upload a photo although doubt I know how.

Montenegrins are liable to invite you in and give you slivovitz!
