Holden still in early days .. think he made an error yesterday with the system once we went down to 10 ..

TS will offer him 2 years deal , in fact he could offer him anything 100,00 a week because a new owner will be the ones who have to pay him
off if they want to bring in their man ….

Holden lost it now his buddies aren't there?
Is it not exhausting existing in a permanent state of snark?
Andy Scott said Holden was happy with the squad.

What's his excuse for Bonne upfront?
Nothing wrong with Bonne .. like there was nothing wrong with Stockley .. but the problem in this system is if the wingers are not doing their job then it fails … yesterday both wingers crested nothing the whole game they had enough opportunities to do so but final ball was awful …..Bonne was missing chances then you could moan but he not getting any to miss ..

    Bonne is absolute cack.
  • I like Holden and think he'd do a decent job if he was properly backed by TS, but we all know that isn't gonna happen so I wouldn't be that upset if he decided to leave.

That interview doesn't sound good.  I reckon he's off - hope not.

Without all the facts it’s hard to tell, but if he does not have another job lined up, it’s hard to see what the benefit of him leaving is.

It also makes little sense for TS to sack him (and he’s not planning to if you believe what he said about extending DH’a contract) considering we won’t make play offs, and the chances of us getting relegated are also extremely low.

IF he left of his own choosing it would not reflect well on him and his explanation before of how he came to be our manager.

Moving on means he is aligned to CM and not only a manager seeking a role.

Personally I think he will stay.

To me it sounds like he’s here until something better comes along, or his contract is up. Whichever comes first.

Can’t see him signing another contract while Tommy remains in charge.

I hope Martin has been working on his coaching badges…
  • How many managers in are history have voluntarily resigned and not had another position lined up immediately afterwards, I.e  Karl Robinson & Bowyer etc.

    Cannot think of any tbh.

  • "I'm gutted Huddersfield went for Colin over me, He's 90 FFS! It looks like I'm stuck here now unless someone else gets the sack soon. Hurry up Oxford and get rid of Robbo, it's a much shorter drive back to Salford from there."

You know we have a midfield right? It's not just about the wingers.

Wouldn't surprise me. His stock is pretty high I'd have thought plus we can't exactly demand much compensation, maybe none depending of his contract details.

I reckon TS will be letting him know that he's looking for investors, and will no longer be seeking to hang on to the reins.
Whether or not new investors/owners come in in time is key. Of course they might want to bring in their own manager, so amidst all the uncertainty I expect Dean will be open to offers.

Sure I’m gonna get lol’d to the high hills but really wouldn’t be that bothered. He gets the club and seems like a nice guy, but tactically he’s not all that. Relies on individual moments of brilliance from JRS and CBT, and if that fails we get no points.

Same as the Huddersfield story this is almost certainly his agent putting this out there to put pressure on us to get him a new contract. Ainsworth to QPR is a pretty much a done deal according to other sources that aren’t talkshite

Don't be afraid to have a unique opinion mate, the Lol's don't hurt and on the profile page make it seem like you're a really funny guy

I actually agree with you and was never sold from the start

I think he’d do a good job here with the right backing but he’s not going to get that from TS so if he doesn’t go now I can’t see him signing a contract under TS and will be off in May anyway. It’s sad to say that I wouldn’t be fussed much about whether he stayed or went. We could have Pep in charge but under TS he wouldn’t get the required backing and would fail too.

I wouldn't say Ainsworth to QPR is a done deal, as while the job is his if he wants it, it's not definite that he would leave Wycombe for QPR.
  • Doesn’t show much imagination by QPR in my opinion. DH was largely unknown to us a few short weeks ago and isn’t obviously going to set the world alight. Is it a real story or just the work of his agent / in some way linked to CM and others.

Also DH has not been as open and honest with us about he came to be our manager. We can argue not his place to say etc but we shouldn’t ignore his silence on this.

But that said I hope he stays.

Maybe, but I think it will be extremely tough for him to turn down that opportunity and especially when he was a QPR player for 7 years.

I don’t think Holden has done enough anyway for a championship club to consider him. He’s won 5 out of his first 10 games, a good start but  it’s still early days for that to be seen as anything as we’ve seen before with Adkins/Jackson/Garner. I really can’t see a championship team being that interested in him at the moment. We know he’s in talks and over a new contract so in my opinion it’s no coincidence we’ve seen these stories come out linking him with other jobs

I think it’s a bit harsh to judge him on using a mostly inherited and mostly average squad. He probably wants to play 3-5-2 long term, which I think if he’s here we will likely end up playing next season. The squad was built for 4-3-3 and Rak-Sakyi is our best player by a mile so he’s forced into playing 4-3-3 for now even though it’s not his preferred way of playing

He did a reasonable job at Bristol City, so does have previous Championship experience

Overriding factor will be that he is cheap. Very little compo as he's contract runs out in less than 6 months.

But as someone said above, might just be agent talk to get TS to give him a longer contract.

If the QPR interest is real he'd be daft not to go

Can see Holden going to QPR if he's offered the chance
