  • And apparently:

Fun fact. Out of all the players tonight Tony Watt has played for more clubs that the rest of the players combined

Courtesy of my friend from work but thought this was excellent…

Newcastle United’s number 22-shirted goalkeeper Nick Pope, who had started and finished all of his previous 22 league appearances since signing in the summer of ’22, became the first of the game’s 22 players to leave the pitch when he was sent off in the 22nd minute against Liverpool on Saturday.

I replied him by saying he was literally ‘caught’ in a catch 22 in that moment of madness.
  • Wonder if he was about 22 yards out?

It’s has taken Millwall 17 games to score their last three championship hat-tricks. The three before took 415 games (9 seasons).

    I suspect he doesn't care!
  • Yeah it's ridiculous.

Guess it keeps it interesting as even a team say 12, 13 points ahead can suddenly be reeled in within a couple of games after the split, but that's completely wrong to me.  All games should have the same value.
Yes but that's not the case in our play-off system either.

Weghorst is also the first Burnley player to win a major medal in 60 years (probably, with pre-apologies to Burnley club statisticians).

Josh Cullen won a league One play off medal, does that not count as major medal?

    To us it does.

In that case it's also Joe Hart, who won quite a lot before he went to Burnley as well...

I think you have misunderstood the point.

No one has scored more FA Cup goals than Kelechi Iheanacho since he made his debut in the competition 7 years ago.

7/7 home wins today in the PL. Never before, in the history of the PL, has that many games in one day ALL ended up like that.

Since joining Liverpool, Mo Salah has more yellow cards from celebrating goals against Man United at Anfield than Man United have goals at Anfield.
