I blame this man and any person within the club who allowed him almost total freedom to do and spend what he wished as the main contributor of where we are now.

I actually feel sorry for Southampton.

How does he deserve a job with a club with cash to spend, for some reason this appointment has riled me?

I nearly spat out my breakfast laughing at this this morning. The managerial merry-go-round is such a bizarre thing; to have already forgotten what Pardew 'achieved' at Charlton less than a year ago is frightening from Southampton's point of view.

I'm sure it will irk some people how quickly we managed to get a story confirming his appointment at Saints on OUR official site.

We never got to vent our anger at Dowie on a return to The Valley (he was sacked before the Coventry home game), so I will claim all abuse has been reserved for Pardew. Fantastic that it's an early season game.

How long before he says something along the lines of

    "when I was at Charlton....."

"I never had the financial backing I needed at Charlton"

And we have such good relations with Southampton... will certainly stoke it up a bit more!

All it does is underline what a terrible state English management is.

If a bloke that can lose a medium sized Club/Business £8m at a sneezes, why would anyone in their right mind re-employ him.

Glad its the Saints, as their fans are tossers and have got a beauty now as Manager.

    And the nominees are...

    v Ipswich (67%)

    v Bournemouth (16%)

    v Wycombe (17%)

    From 661 votes.

F##k knows what that means, I thought they should have first played when they were kids (the age of the guy writing the poll)

It means which game should we first pick the team that will start again Wycombe. Should we try it out against Ipswich or Bournemouth, or not test it out at all pre-season.

No doubt you will recieve a warm reception.

If you wish to provide balance, then we need to at least acknowledge that at the time of his appointment we were a club on the slide.

But lets equally not lose sight that the club Pardew left is a club that is virtually destroyed in its present form.

I blame him more than any other person who has been mentioned in our 'saga'.

And what angers me the most is i know that deep down, he probably doesn't give a shit.

I categorically say he doesn't give a shit, just refer back to the wave to the fans after the Sheffield Utd game.

What astonishes me is that yet again in the field of football management, someone who should be unemployable finds a job. If any potential employer took even the most cursory glance at what he did at Charlton then they would avoid him like the plague.
  • The men of Southampton will be rushing to lock up their wives this morning as Mr Pardoo arrives in town.

I couldnt agree more AFKA, the man milked the club for all he could and more, if he had an ounce of decentcy he would have walked when he clearly had lost the players and fans, one thing is for sure i would but money on the game against S'ton being the most vocal next season
