kinda weird.  Good first half and being totally outplayed and hanging on in the second against a side who can’t score and can’t win.  This is hard to watch

I think this game is a lot about getting him experience playing up front on his own. Hopefully Leaburn didn't come off because he's hurt.

But Kanu lacks the physicality and technical ability to play up front on his own. I don't think that surprises anyone at this stage. Hopefully this is a game where he learns what it's like to play up against two big League one CBs. We don't have anything to play for this season, so you may as well see how your youngsters do in difficult situations.

And he sure looked like he was fouled there in the box.

What benefit is this doing him? He's not even touched the ball

His performance will be discussed with the coaches and he will learn from the experience, as I say, there is more benefit for the player and the club to have him play than have someone who won't be here in the summer taking his place. 

Yup, completely agree. They'll go over the footage with him, show him where his movement could be better, how he could have gotten involved more. He's made a couple of runs in behind that have been mistimed, one too early, one too late. This is good for him, and certainly benefits the club a lot more than sticking Bonne up there.
