Best right-back we've ever had?

I know it's an odd question

Specifically, I'm looking for a right back who has played for us and is now the best of the bunch

So, not a right back that was really good for us and is now semi-retired and shite
But a right back that at any point in their career played for us, and now plays at a good standard somewhere else
The player can NOT be retired.

Good luck

In my time of watching Charlton I would say Billy Bonds.

How can it be one we have ever had that isn’t retired?

Most likely either a young player who has gone on to bigger and better

Or a senior player who played for us that still plays at this level or higher

    Specific, I know...

Luke Young. I think he's still young, so maybe not retired, but probably is (in fact definitely is). But he's still Young. Does that count?

Having a bit of a problem following your requirements, so not sure if this is what you are after…..anyway.🤔

    Billy Bonds & Johnny Humphrey’s.

Yes your question is odd, and the only answer is that there isn't one.

Think Solly is the only right back I have seen play that is still playing

I'll be honest, I'm trying to build a FIFA team, an can't decide who to put in at RB

Solly now plays too far down the pyramid to be in FIFA

Anfernee Dijksteel, though he has lost his place at Boro in recent weeks.

Otherwise the likes of Gomez and Konsa who have played there.

Danny Mills was superb during his initial 18 month spell with us (though the less said about his subsequent return the better). Also Greg Shields was also a hugely underrated right back.

Dijksteel is the top answer so far, since you can change his position to RB in the new FIFA

Nah he's still playing. At Plymouth and is now a midfield marauder

Didn't realise that. He must only have been 8 when he made his debut for us. Impressive. Second only to Konchesky, who I think was six and a half.
