Some great photos...The Valley ones are really interesting.
The 50th celebrations looks like it shows the old height of the South Terrace but with the new wall cutting out the top 1/3rd. Haven't seen a picture with that in before.
The Horsfield photo shows some pretty basic terracing, with wooden treads and cinder? I think this had been replaced with proper concrete by the time of my first visit in the 80's.
The Tom Morris archive must be a treasure trove...1 -
