Tony was an amazing friend of mine for nearly 20 years and very sadly took his own life on Saturday.
An avid supporter all his life, this was the guy that got me into this club over 16 years ago and it’s stuck ever since.

Its muted a lot these days but I’ll say it anyway, mental health in men is such a hard subject but one we need to keep discussing in an open forum

Tony (so I thought) was the absolute last person on gods green earth that I ever imagined I would be saying this about but here we are.

An amazing friend, father of four, husband and all round great guy, rest well buddy, this game will never be the same for me x

    As someone that struggles with their mental health, I know that it can take you to some very dark places. Anyone that is struggling, please reach out for support. I know it's difficult for men to say they need help but it's so important to talk about your feelings.

    So sorry for your and the families loss. It's so tragic that mental illness can cut right right through how much good is in your life or how happy you should be.

    You're right that it needs to be more openly discussed - I know multiple who've confided in me but don't want to bother anyone else or get help because there's still such a stigma around it.
