    Took my eldest down to the valley today to look at the kit (and get him out the house due to teacher strikes).  Asked about but there’s no sign of Alfie May photos etc.  This was about an hour ago.

    He joined Doncaster in 2017 and was a highly rated part of Doncaster's promotion attempt in 2018/19 in League One.

    Having delivered for the past 2 seasons, he comes with a track record at this level and on paper looks like a sensible acquisition 

    In this instance it’s acceptable to use that phrase I hate ‘happy with that’

    The reaction from Cheltenham fans.

    Every comment is positive, literally not seen one saying he’s not all that.  There’s probably about 20/30% saying things like “the best we ever had” and “the GOAT”.  

    If this signing doesn’t excite I don’t know what will.

    I hope this is joined-up-thinking recruitment and he's been signed to play a particular role in a system. 

    I also hope he's got something to offer outside of the box.

    But can't argue with signing a goalscorer for a fee.

    Just on the minority who are uncertain.  The last two seasons he’s been fantastic so that is all that matters.  If he’d only had two good seasons 5/6 years ago I’d understand.  Different players peak at different times.
