I think Chris Parkes, although much vilified over the social media spat involving his family, certainly stood up and was counted in his dealings with the charlatans at East Street investments, and was dismissed, although briefly for the stand he took. As I said, Steve Sutherland and Chris Parkes are, in my opinion, are cut from the same cloth, they are both good guys and they both believe that owners come and go but as long as the club survives then the club always has a chance, and whatever we believe about the stance they took, they are probably right.oohaahmortimer said:

He's very approachable and chatty but he won't reveal anything regarding Sandgaard, not in public and in front of about 50 people anyway.5 -

Happy it’s finally done. TS was a bit of a disaster and I find it hard to get past some of the stories of how he and his family treated loyal staff and let other staff members get away with apparent appalling behaviour. I’m sheepishly optimistic about this set up, don’t think we’ll ever know much about the main shareholders but if they put experienced people in place to run the club I’ll take that over what’s gone on for the last few years. Good luck to them.13

Ipswich are essentially owned by the Arizona Teacher's State Pension fund, so are basically a consortium of small investors headed up by a couple of bigger players. Did this mean that they're doomed to be used and abused by "the money" and asset stripped etc (a full on hedge fund owning you means you NEED to not have loses really). Or are they OK because no one involved was caught wearing salmon coloured trousers on TV and didn't go to posh school?
Sandgaard was letting us wither and die. Thank you for saving us from Admin and ESI, thank you for your misplaced belief in us. We know you generally meant well and couldn't handle things not going to plan. Enjoy the rest of your days!
We now have a chance of being a more professional outfit, with real actual experienced football people being in charge. That's what we've being crying out for for years! Things are looking up for us for once, try to enjoy it and see what happens!

The entity that provides an initial source of the funds does not qualify it as an owner. Even less so with Ipswich where the funds arrive via a public investment fund and are donated in the form of debt not equity.

Don't hear Ipswich fans complaining about being essentially owned by the 'Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System'... Oh, and Ed Sheeran. Duchatelet was extremely rich and it didn’t mean a thing because he didn’t give a shit about Charlton, so temper your enthusiasm on that front. If we sign some decent players and are around the top 6 all season I’ll be happy enough, but I think the last ten years have really taken it out of me and I suspect I’m not alone on that score.

Sorry, I was wrong. It's not the Teacher's Pension fund, the "ultimate beneficial owner of the Blues is a US investment fund called ORG, which manage funds on behalf of large US pension pot - the Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System - and who own 90% of Gamechanger 20 Ltd" is where the money for Ipswich comes from.Dippenhall said:

Frustrated with negativity about it being a consortium (oh my god!!) and strategic partners who have deeper pockets and more interest in progressing the club than the previous few owners. The fact that they put up with TS 'more money for me stunt' in January and came back to the table, and proved they could run the club more professionally during their stint in January with experienced SMT in place should bode well for the future.
