This is fantastic news, it’s been years, since we signed a Terry, who was the last one?
    Terry Bullivant 82/83?
    Wow, making history, good lad!

Get him on corners, end of.
Got a few options there this season. Taylor got 4 assists but McGrandles got 5 assists in his half season at Cambridge, all from corners and free kicks I believe

How many midfielders do we need? Don’t we need a strike to pair up with May?

Strength in depth is exactly what we have been lacking in recent seasons and it has really cost us.  It also means that we have genuine competition for places, which is an even better advantage to the situation.

As far as strikers go, I have no doubt that this will be addressed.  However, it is going to be a tricky market with many clubs wanting a only a few well proven strikers.  This means that price-gouging will be at a premium and selling clubs will be looking to play the buying clubs off against each other; thus getting a decent striker without getting absolutely shafted on price will be a difficult task.

Personally, I think that we will undoubtedly be in for some of those proven strikers, but we will also be hoping to get some higher division loans to give us the same strength in depth that we now have in midfield.  I have faith in our backroom staff to accomplish this, not least because of the impressive way that they have performed so far.  We have managed to beat other clubs to the signatures of a few of our most recent acquisitions which isn't what we have been used to in recent seasons.  Long may it continue!

A bit weird that Kirk sold the club and manager to him, when Kirk hardly played under Holden before being loaned out!

Terry Ball. He played up front as a non-scoring striker.

What's important that he's given longer than one half before some Doughnut says:
    "He's not all that" ?

So important we got some mobility into the side and Terry Taylor and Camará can make such a difference to the energy and the ability in transition as well as getting back to negate the oppositions attacks.
Made no secret of liking the way Bolton play in getting players in the box when attacking.
But also the way they can defend. Bolton fell short but still made the play-offs.

At long last there is some nous being used in our recruitment.
    Long may it last 👏

We know we do. That shouldn’t stop us signing a good young midfielder that should strengthen our squad.

We've specialised in that position over the years, often playing two up front

I know I am getting old but christ he looks so young.  Are we sure he hasn't joined to play for the U14s?

I read it as Terry Naylor & thought "bloody hell, he's getting on a bit" 🙂.

If only Sandgaard had shown this much interest in assembling a squad he might have got somewhere.

Got to go......HMS pisstheleague is just pulling up anchor.
