Report doesn't say who the other trialists where, but looks like they are having a good long look at Small before offering him a contract.

Report on OS

"The Ebbsfleet striker's spot kick hit the post but came back to the same player and he made no mistake at the second time of asking." - Isn't that a foul to us?

To my knowledge CAFC have not entered any leagues for the reserves due to the cost cutting exercise, but they have left the way open to join if finances improve.

From reading that, looks like the team was something like-

    Binks

    Bellamy Mambo (trialist?) (trialst?)

    Wagstaff Stavrinou (trialist?) Davisson

    Small

    Dickson

    Pell and Tuna subbed on

Guess it was a centre back, left back and central midfielder or left winger from that.

Yep I thought another player i.e. the keeper has to touch it before the taker can again

    Yes, just friendlies.

Chatting to someone at the club today seems we've been asked to play loads of friendlies ie Fulham and Chelsea next week (but couldn't due to other fixtures) so get to play prem team reserves rather than the likes of Lewes and at a time of our choosing.

I did mention to them that some people would like to see the games and they said they would speak to Phil Parkinson about it and see what was possible.

Correct. Maybe the keeper touched it onto the post.

    And we won 6 - 2 so does it matter : - )

it was three triallists including Small not three plus Small.

I saw that Binks when he was in Star Wars - looks a bit skinny for my liking ;-)

How funny i know an Ebbsfleet fan who says they have 8 year plan to get to the football league based on this result think it may have to be a 60 year plan lol. Was anyone lucky enough to witness this drubbing?
  • Centre-half trialist was 'Jordan' (presume his first name). Was talking to Gritty at half time, who said the lad is on trial from Birmingham, having been born in Downham. Even taller than Crouch ?!, looked good.

Sounds like Jordan Anderson who was on trial at Millwall last week.

At least he'll be OK in the air

"The Ebbsfleet striker's spot kick was tipped onto the post by Binks only to bounce back to the opposing player who made no mistake at the second time of asking."

I assume that this was an amendment to the report.

    Yes, Gritty mentioned Millwall....

Certainly a commanding presence, and good with feet too.

Do we have any idea what sort of side Ebbsfleet sent, I'm assuming they weren't full-strength?.

Also very surprised that we are looking at left backs - if that was the other triallist position. Surely, Youga & Basey are enough. Thought Solly did ok there against Norwich last season as well.

Any word on who the 3rd triallist was?.

good job fella. They probably thought you were a scout! Funny that we played 4-5-1 even in the reserves.

Released by Chelsea at the end of the 2007/2008 season he joined Barnsley and signed his first pro contract with them in June of this year.

We had him on some sort of trial, he played a few games for our u18s. So while he was training with us we did the crossbar challenge.

Anyone know what happened to the centre back we had on trial from Chelsea 2 years ago. Remember him playing in the friendly against Sporting Braga and then he was on the bench the following day for Chelsea in the Charity Shield. Have forgotten what his name was now
