  • Right - I'm off for two hours to fail an AgilePM exam so if the news can stop for a while, that'll be much appreciated

I'm also hearing that Chucks has a new injury FFS!
    Of course he does :(
Chuks has very fit hands though, never the sniff of a finger strain when he signed that contact.
Good for him. He didn't offer himself that contract. And as a professional athlete offered a contract, I don't know any who would think "I don't know, what if I can't stay fit? Better stay on my current deal than sign for 3.5 years and secure my future for 3.5 more years and beyond."

You are probably right SD, unfortunately I care a little more about the welfare of my club rather than Chuks welfare.

Sounds like we could do with an AgilePM to plan our transfer windows in the future

I imagine Bates' wages would be a big issue
Yes, if Leeds aren't contributing then same for all league 1 clubs and he's not allowed to move to championship so they've effectively trapped him as bench fodder which is a real shame - he would have run through brick walls for us - he regularly wins the top trainer stats at Leeds and had a very good loan spell at Oxford - would have been perfect all round.
In fact i've got further info on that - all i can say is i hope Watson is good because the difference in outlay from Charlton on both players is minimal in the grand scheme of things - Lewis is gutted. Have to get behind Watson now though, its not his fault.

Seen Derby fans saying Louie Watson's ceiling is league two. Will obviously give him a chance but frustrating if it's between him and Bate

Hibs could look to former Charlton striker Piotr Parzyszek to lead them up front in return to Premiership The Scottish Sun The Scottish Sun
  • Trying to keep up today, miss a few pages and lo and behold a picture of Boris 😱 is that what we’ve come to as a latest suggested signing!!
Not sure he’d pass a medical with those moves

BuT tHeY wOnT aMoUnT tO aNyThInG according to some on here...

They are doing what I hoped we would, a fast start and getting some young and exciting players in.

Maybe that was Methven's plan all along, scupper our chances and help pave the way for his beloved Oxford to get promoted!

It has to be a mental thing with him now rather than physical.

He's been out for what seems like months with a calf injury.

Christian Eriksen almost died on the pitch and returned quicker than him.

Yeah, was going to say that if you're truly implementing Agile, there's no such thing as an Agile PM. Agile done well is focused on product development, not project management. And it's not a methodology either, it's a mindset and set of principles, which spawns many methodologies: XP, Scrum, Kanban, Crystal to name but a few...

Try Mik Kersten's book Project to Product and/or The Agile Mindset by Gil Broza if you want to know more.

Hmm... didn't think I'd be writing that on the transfer rumours thread today... should probably get back to work (as an Agile Coach)...

Hearing we are currently in negotiation with a  Striker from Basildon utd.

Only sticking point is whether we are willing to pay the ULEZ on his 09 Renault Megane?

‘Watson has a brother – Noah – who is in Crystal Palace’s academy.’
Might as well sign him too, then we’ll have three Watsons. Elementary.
Then sign Tony Watt and Hueng Min Song, so we can have Watson, Watson, Watt, Son, Watson
What’s Matty Holmes up to these days?

On this thread I've just found 861 unread messages in just 24 hours.

I mean, it would take me 24 hrs just to catch up reading them all. So I've just skipped 860 of them and gone to the latest post - and this is what' I've learned "Hearing we are currently in negotiation with a  Striker from Basildon utd. Only sticking point is whether we are willing to pay the ULEZ on his 09 Renault Megane?"

What other hot transfer rumours have I missed ....?

I wonder how silly Reams feels now after spending the whole summer telling everyone how his mates have a big pot of cash to spend and that we are chasing much higher standard of player….

only to be in the exact same position we have been at the end of every other window for the last four years. Understocked and heavily reliant on youngsters and unproved loans.

Some of the incomings have been good but the end to this window has been very very poor.

Reams, you’ve been fed a line by your old pal Charlie and fallen for it hook, line and sinker.

    Regards!
    Hasn't finished yet?
Yes but we didn't sign a new player every day!!!!!

I'm used to the pessimism on here, but some of the comments are truly unhinged. We're in League One, who exactly do you expect us to be signing? It's usually good League One players (May, Isted, Camara, Taylor), ideally one or two from the league above (Edun, maybe one more today), and then some promising youngsters (C Campbell, hopefully one or two more today).

We can talk about if this squad has the balance required, if we got the best players available for the money spent (namely on the frees), or if we are able to get the best out of players, but the way we've built the squad this summer is pretty solid.
If the club has aspirations for top six then I’m afraid it is going to have to compete with the likes of Barnsley, Bolton, Derby, Peterborough, Rotherham etc etc. A number of our summer signings have not been fit enough and we haven’t addressed glaring deficiencies in the squad nor adequate striking resources given Leaburn was injured in he first pre-season friendly. Fine if there isn’t the budget to compete and get out of League One. Just spare me the rhetoric that doesn’t meet the actions.

Mentioning ULEZ on the transfer thread.

3 hours later, thread closed due to derailment over comments about Sadiq Khan and we wouldn’t need ULEZ if we had stayed in the EU

Sounds like the Harrogate striker Armstrong is signing for MK Dons.
