so today you have added little parts of the Parky story on the OS in a drip feed mode, you should have done the whole lot as one earlier

To be fair to the Mickey Mouser he was at the press conference as well.

And of course he does it story by story as he's trying to get the hits up on his site and justify the huge salary and expenses (plus all the hookers and gin) he gets off the Newshopper.

Yeah - I used to 'deliver' the Mercury - for about £2 per 200. A lot of readers lived in the Deptford Creek area. In fact - when I was delivering it - I made nearly all my deliveries directly into Deptford Creek

My take on it is we are in a position that we dont need cash as urgently as we may have done so can try and force a higher price, at the risk of not selling him we can pay his wages till transfer window and get a few goals out of him in the process.

that was the view i had thommo. Add in the news about bailey being named captain, parky talking about holland and fortune, and rumours of a couple of deals involving us paying out money and maybe the signs are good?

Good for you Leroy they can't track the numbers there! Papers survive in back gardens, you need to bury them deeper in the swamp.

£4.50 for 40 odd flats, in middle park, 7 days a week .... i wouldn't be brave enough to do that now

In response to the original post. ;-)

Whatever the financial status of the club at present, we shouldn't be held to ransom for the 'assets' we do have. Why should Barnsley get a pretty proven 2nd Division striker for naff-all? In reality, we are not going to get what we paid for him, but anything less than £800,000 is a mugging, especially with todays ridiculously inflated market prices.

Though sadly, not quite as effective for us, but taking his personal issues into consideration (out of fairness), I don't think we saw/we've seen the best of him. Be it through Injury, family & just plain, poor service.

I think a fully fit, & clearminded Gray would do pretty well next season in Div' 2, & if we do keep hold of him, will definitely 'do the business' for us in Div' 3.
