3.5k for the first match in the old 3rd division back in the early 70's...7k average when we last were in this division and won promotion...7k for back to the valley...target 10k...

    And yet according to the one line we had in The Times today, "only" 16,500 turned up. What the f*** do they know, eh?!

    After all the shit we have been thru I think that our attendance figure on Saturday was a fantastic tribute to a well supported decent football club and given that it was on the back of one of the worst seasons in the club's history and after a summer of relative inactivity- all the more remarkable. The Times know bollocks all about us or what we stand for,but why stop that getting in the way of yet another 'Former Prem club falls on hard times' type story! Their journo's are just marking time waiting to word wank about Chelsea et al next week.
