Sorting old newspaper clippings in the museum one of our fantastic volunteers came across this wonderful photo.

Probably 17 October 1936 v Arsenal 

Official gate 68,610.

Unofficial gate over 80k

    I’d imagine there was a fair amount of friction between woollen trousers and rough corrugated iron..

    Maybe the photo was taken on their way down, next photo they weren't there?
