Sorting old newspaper clippings in the museum one of our fantastic volunteers came across this wonderful photo.

Probably 17 October 1936 v Arsenal 

Official gate 68,610.

Unofficial gate over 80k

    How on earth are the ones at the bottom of the roof staying on, as there's no ridge at the bottom of the roof to stop you slipping off?

    I’d imagine there was a fair amount of friction between woollen trousers and rough corrugated iron..

    Maybe the photo was taken on their way down, next photo they weren't there?
