Andy and Simone are a lovely couple. Had them on our table once at the POTY dinner. They were very down to earth and very interested in what we all did both work wise and in our spare time, a lot of time was taken up talking about gardening. Andy insisted on buying us all a drink, had no other player do that ever, and at the end of the night made a point of seeking out everyone in our party of eight to say thank you and good night. A real gent. Footballers who have come late to the pro game, or had to do a proper job first, always seem more grounded to me.
