Keeping a clean sheet tonight will be the most important thing for me. May is the league’s joint top scorer and CBT is joint top of the assists chart, we know our attack is good enough already… Just need to steady the ship defensively and we will so easily be up there.
  • Love how you can heard Terry Smith in the background for those goals

    Louie Watson outstanding.

Makes Appleton's decision to drop him for the last 2 games for a half-fit Fraser incomprehensible.
Yep strangest desicion ever that he looked class before being dropped for a player who struts around, you can see how much better he suits Dobson aswell who doesn't look shattered.

Beating the teams below us pretty comfortably it seems.

This is the opposite to recent seasons, usually we'd fall apart against the bad teams and up our games against the top ones. Now it's the other way around.

Take Alfie and Dobbo off. Don’t want them missing Pompey
i want to "like" this but can't. You don't take your top scorer & midfield general off at HT.

That unit of Asiimwe, Campbell and Leaburn down our right is fucking terrifying
18, 20, and 19 respectively. All are very promising, and all still have elements of their game they can improve on, a fair amount of which I suspect will come from playing regularly. Really exciting times.
Campbell is playing like a man who's pissed off he was dropped, who understands it was on him, and who is making amends
He was our best player on Saturday as well. His movement is so good and so clever. It's just that nothing fell for him on Saturday. It's a good lesson in just keeping going and doing what you're good at. He won the corner for the opener, his movement has caused them fits all night.

Out of interest, what is the cut off point before it changes to 10 yellows
  • These players have been given a massive kick up the backside - passion, desire, effort, never say die

AND Hector has been excellent first half

It’s usually half the league games isn’t it?

I can't remember the last time I've seen Brownie this enthused.

Curbs is going on about Dobbo's passing and he's right: it's gotten so, so much better. Last year it was rumored that Garner was worried about his touch and his passing, and he wasn't entirely wrong, Dobbo sometimes struggled to play on the half turn. But he's gotten so much more solid on the ball, and since Appleton came in he has been our metronome in midfield. Yes he had a bad giveaway in his own third, but that seems to have galvanized him and he's been everywhere since then.

After reading the shite on CL about George Dobson tonight well said Curbs about how well Dobbo did with the passes with the First and third goals.
Yes I saw George mess up a couple of passes but he was superb for the rest of the half.

Sounds like Hector's putting in a performance Leuth will be telling his grandkids about.

Why can't he do it every game?!?

Fraser looked crap on Saturday in the middle with Dobson, and he's not dynamic enough to be the 10 in a 4231, only really works in a flat 433 as the slightly more attacking one of the 3. Watson and Dobson as much as possible please
Completely agree.  Fraser’s best position would be on loan somewhere imo
