Comment on their forum that this could be their last game in the tournament ever.

And we thought it was just Charlton fans who are pessimists.
  • Just a quick question.

Why do our home games in this competition kick off at 7.00 instead of the usual 7.45?

Don't risk playing anyone who we need for our trip to Carlisle.
That's all I have to add.
The coach driver is not even among the subs

Just hope after the first game against Cray that Appleton plays a team that has trained together rather than just thrown 11 individuals together at the last moment.
He not going to play any player that he thinking of starting on Saturday .. it will be C Campbell , Tadic, Ness, McGrandles , Fraser plus bunch of under 18

Guaranteed red card if the coach drivers are as late with their tackling as they are at arriving for games
  • Just got a ticket - never seen Sutton before.

Because the kids from the under 15’s have got school in the morning and have to be in bed by 10.00 😉
  • In The Royal Oak now, not very busy.

Why would Mbick from the u18's get ahead of Casey u21's unless the 21's have a game on the same day again ? Or any of the other  lads who play as forwards in this year's U21's.
Maybe Mbick is rated more highly than Casey. He’s only recently turned 17 but had already appeared at u21 level and been rewarded with his first team debut. Not sure Casey progressed through the levels that quickly.
IIRC, Mbick has scored on his debut at every level he has played at. I think this was mentioned in the commentary for the FA Cup replay. That’s quite a record!

If we play a full strength team but with Kirk, does that count as not taking the tournament seriously?

No Kirk basically confirms it's the end of him. Watson at CB will be interesting

Way too strong a team for my liking

2-0 win but I'm expecting a big casualty for one of our players to put a dampener on things

Apples said Kirk would be taken out of the firing line unless there were injuries.

  • Strong team, except at CB. I'm assuming T Watson will play there from the order on the teamsheet?

I assumed it would be asiimwe, purely because the commentator said during the CV game that he can play there.

either way, as you said, interesting choice

Think that line up says all you need to know about Appleton’s Charlton experience with Cray Valley.

Stadium is empty, looking at it on CATV I doubt there's more than 500 people in there, from what I can see on screen.
