[cite]Posted By: kinveachyaddick[/cite]when did that last happen?

where's Ooh Aah - he's been conspicuous by his absence/silence on this thread...

hope he's managed to get tickets and hasn't left it too late!

got my ticket weeks ago look at comment no.117 i foresaw we'd sellout ;-)
for once it wont be an embarassing turnout for us and yes i will be proud of our travelling numbers for this long arduos trip but the FACTS are our home fans/away fans ratio is one of the worst in the country whatever way you kids look at it and i only deal in FACTS doncaster averaged more away fans than us last year ffs, every club brought more to us than we did to them last season, we had the worst away support in the league ... one swallow does not make a summer etc
i wonder how many will be at orient next year when it wont be a novelty
  • As someone who agrees with pretty much every post that Ooh Aah puts on here about our away support I do think this whole thread is getting over the top to the point of embarrasing.

This was always going to be a decent turnout, even more so on a Tuesday than a Saturday as its such a piece of piss to get there from The City and Canary Wharf.

Im more impressed that we have sold 600 for Hartlepool to be honest...

[cite]Posted By: Chris_from_Sidcup[/cite]OohAah is sitting patiently watching ticket sales for the following away game at Tranmere, ready to come on here and moan if we don't take 5k up there.

come on you know our away support is poor , i wouldn't be moaning if our away support(in numbers) wasn't so embarrassing

    ty southend ;-)

Decent Away followings seldom yield decent performances, Operation Riverside, Ewood anyone.

In fact Palace away our best following last season was one of our worst footballing no-shows of the season.

Only Charlton supporters could moan about taking 3000 to an away game!

bad away followings didn't yield a decent performance last year either but i would put that down to the players and management

[cite]Posted By: Big C[/cite]hang on, the OS says we'll have a quarter of the capacity, weve sold 2300 ish and have around 800 left, so about 3100 tickets in total. The capacity of Brisbane Road is 9,271. Surely 3100 out of 9271 is a third, not a quarter....?

Yeah but i think they are working it out by stands , so the main stand hold 2300 which 25% of is 625 + the old east stand is 1550 plus 45 wheelchair access so say we get 18% of that is 287 , the stand behind the opposite goal is all seated so you've got 988 there so a 1/3 of that is 296 and the remaining stand is all ticket meaning we can get whatever we like so there is the difference

I really dont know why I continue to laugh at all of your posts.

    Still going to Hartlepool?

Yeah man , travelling up tomorrow . Wanna meet up ?

maybe 3,000 away charlton fans with a good atmosphere and good football (!) will encourage more people to go away...

    ...you never know...

No fair enough mate, i was only joking. I usually agree with your posts about our support anyway. It's long been a joke, but with a lot of southern games this season and us taking the division by storm i'm sure away numbers will be good this year!

fair point - the FACTS so far this season are Hartlepool - 600 plus - we'll have to see how many they bring to us and Orient set for a 3,000 sell-out

I guess we'll just have to wait and see how the rest of the season pans out...

Hartlepool tickets are no longer on sale from CAFC, but there are 300 odd left that can be purchased on the day.

    Hartlepool info

Seems a bit strict, hope there won't be gangs of militant stewards forcing people to sit down.
