Dobson didn’t look like one of our best players until about half way through his first season here. Players need time to settle and grow at a football club.

Were we looking to recruit a performance director recently. Any update on this or have I missed an announcement?1

It maybe that the person chosen is in a job and working their notice but who knows.0 -

They may not want it known until they have found a replacement or have announced it themselves.
Only speculation as we may not have appointed anyone for various reasons.5 - Sponsored links:

You can question Andy, and Jim Rodwell, direct at the niche group, Bromley Addicks, on Thursday 7 December.
7.30pm start, free entry but bring cash for the raffle.3 -
Which out of Walker, T Taylor, Edun, Isted, T Watson, Penny, Thomas, Kane, Hector and Jones as the permanent signings made whilst he has been at the club is he most proud of, and which of these signings show the winning mentality and ability he likes to talk about.
Having been at the club for two transfer windows now, is he happy with the foundations of our squad, especially with CBT and Dobson's current contracts rapidly running down?6 -
Andy Scott is full of shit.
99% talk
1 % deliver10 -
Our best signing by 10 country miles was at the insistance of Holden wasn't it?3
-
2 of the Scott signings were Tedic and Abankwah, says a lot.6
-
I genuinely believe Scott and think they’ll get us promoted within the next 2 and a bit seasons.8

Maybe they should ask Appleton who he wants?1

Might be on a nice wage. Like all the others that have come before him.
Bargain basement injury prone players and loans that haven't worked out. January the talk will immediately switch to 'summer being better value' and the cycle repeats.5 -

Why do you get that impression? He has a long history in football, as a player, manager and director. He's not a Southall. I think he genuinely wants to do a good job - not every transfer has been a hit, but it sounds like he's getting good people in place to do the jobs they're good at. The new director of performance is the most recent and obvious example of that.
I said in today's match thread that this club has been so poorly managed and mistreated for nearly a decade. If we want proper progression to becoming an established Championship club again (rather than what we got in 2019 which was a promotion and immediate relegation back) then it's going to take building us back up from near enough zero. I personally have seen evidence of those building blocks being put in place. Unfortunately results on the pitch haven't been immediate.
We've been poor for so long that I understand the lack of patience to get it right. But the owners, the directors and to an extent the manager need to be given time to put their stamp on the squad and the club. It's hard going right now but I'm hopefully that it will start to pay off soon.

I don't disagree, they could've been better. I liked what he had to say about recruitment in the latest interview with regards to bringing in people with expertise in that area, hopefully better than he has managed to do by himself thus far.

He's a PR man who could probably sell sand to thr Arabs.
He says all the right things when front of a camera.
You either belhim or you don't.
Like I said earlier I shall judge him on what he does. Not on what he says11 -
Deeds not words. Not been good enough so far. Still mid table league 1 side.
