Denny Laine RIP

Has passed away at the age of 79. Known for being a member of a number of bands but, in particular, as a Moody Blues founding member and for being with Wings 'til they disbanded. He has left us on the 50th Anniversary of the US release of Band On The Run.

Heaven is certainly becoming somewhat crowded with musicians from my youth right now.

RIP Denny

RIP, yet another musician from my past has left us. Moody Blues was one of my favourite bands back in the day, and Band on The Run a great track! Sleep well Sir and thanks for the music x

Very sad news, proper musician. If you get a chance have a listen to his original version of 'Say you don't mind' Colin Blunstone had the hit with the song but Denny Laine's version has more balls to it, 'Too much in love' is great too. RIP Denny.

Very sad, also quite poignant that his death was announced on the "fifth of December...".  As Alan Partridge said, Wings was the band The Beatles could have been.
