Just went passed the Horse and Groom and saw four people entering it, quick look at the for sale board and it said 'Sold'. 20 mins later when I was going back past the door was still open so I stopped and thought I would go in and ask what they was going to do with it. When I went in there were three black fellas in there so I asked them are they the new owners to which they replied 'yes'. I knew full well from talk before that this was going to be turned into one of the wine church african things what woolwich cinema got turned into. Anyway I had to ask ' so are you opening this back up as a pub?' 'No we are changing it into a community center'. As Myself and mate had allready phoned the the estate agents that was selling the pub just over a year ago and asked them was it sold and how much it was going for (not that we were planning to buy it) the estate agent said in the region of £800,000. So I had to know how much they had got it so i asked the people that was in the h & G and the price they told me ................... £400,000/£450,000. Near enough half price.
So there goes another pub.

Two more pubs out here in the sticks closed last week, one of them with a very decent restaurant. Another had a very poorly attended beer festival over the Bank Holiday.Won't be any left soon!0

A few of us had a beer outside the Doom and Gloom last Saturday to say "good bye horse"The natives were a tad restless and we did sus that there were at least 2 CCTV cameras on us. Very very very weird gear the reverands wear it honestly looks like they are part of the Klu Klux Klan !! one poped his head out to ask that we didnt piss up the wall !! cheeky c__t ! almost saidwe aint part of your congregation fella ! Thought they might want me to tranfer a few thousand quid for em so i had me banks details at the ready.0
