Rowett won't take another job in London.
He lives 3 miles from me in Derbyshire.
Categorically no chance of a London job again.

Didn’t want Appleton would sooner have got someone else but out of all recent managers he has organised and got more out of the team than any of the others.
Wish he didn’t have the Centre backs zonal marking corners though hate this had Hector Thomas and Watson all stood on 6 yard box for Cambridges first goal and not one got near the goal scorer.
That’s where we miss Leaburn/Aneke. They would always fill one of the zonal spots so that then frees up a defender to mark. Hopefully we fan get another big striker in asap

Terrel Thomas isn’t very good but him coming out of the team for Edun, combined with Aneke/Leaburn injuries has made us a lot shorter as a team

I think what he says is right and I’d sooner hear that coz we all know half a dozen better players need to come in in the window to have the slightest chance - however, he needs to put his hands up for making it virtually impossible the way he set the team up on the first half - rank poor management and if he’s thinking of starting May up top on his isn again hd will get the same tomorrow

So basically, enough material for an episode of Casualty, and a prediction that T'Barnsley are going to rinse our comedy defence...

Don't like them apples Mickey but thanks anyway!

Appleton likes to get his excuses in first ..I can't see how that attitude brings confidence to the team

I very much doubt bringing in large numbers of new players in January will help. The winter window isn't known for long term prospects and I doubt we have enough money to make a difference - especially since the chances of promotion through the play off lottery are pretty slim.  Far better to concentrate on longer term building of a decent team with 2/3 quality players in key positions, identify 1/2 decent youngsters to bring through with a run of games, proper scouting for more quality to recruit early in the summer window, and clearance of the dross.

Can’t believe the Barnsley manager ALSO got his excuses in early too… these managers must all be rubbish…

"Really tough test. When you look through their squad, top attacking players. Slightly slow start to the season but I think the position in the league probably doesn't do them justice. We'll need to be really at it on Saturday so it should be a really good game."

Idk what people want managers to say when they’re asked about the opposition… “they’re shit and we’ll do them 4-0”?

    An excuses in first stalemate
  • A real shame Deji was recalled from his loan where he was playing regularly and, by all accounts, well. Now cast into the "reserve team-less" wilderness as a Charlton squad player.

His interviews remind me of my very great friend in Rome.
    Biggus Dealus.
He has a wife you know, Incomprehensiveus Vaccus.
  • How inspiring was that ?

    I'm so excited, I could crush a grape !

  • What a pillock, Deji under MA will not see another slot in this mish mash of a team, yhere is a mixture of Konsa and Gomez in Deji, but MA has not got the tactical intelligence to bring this out! Deji in my humble opinion does not need to go and  play for Bromley. A move under JJ will do him more good if anything!
  • Same old drivel. Just get them playing with some urgency and passion.

Isn’t he the right man to bring on our youngsters as per one A Scott ?

Unlikely considering he hasn’t been able to bring them out of them since he arrived

McGrandles and Taylor towards the end of January isn't good news, let's say February on the safe side. Sure @RonnieMoore said different the other day. And Aneke not even that soon by the sounds of it.

He says the energy and performance levels will be better this week. So why were they so bad last week? And why is that acceptable

Oh dear @LargeAddick, you didn't listen to @RonnieMoore? He's heart is in the right
place but his info is normally wide of the mark.
My opinion is we won't see McGrandles and Taylor till mid Feb and Aneke for the rest of the season.
  • What has he said that's bad? He gave an update on injuries and stated why he only has one centre back on the bench. I know he isn't flavour of the month at the moment but I can't see what's so bad with those comments
