Incredibly irritating how the media keep referring to teams he manages with his name as a prefix. Must p*** off the fans of each club.

    I particular hate that well worn phrase "Wayne Rooney's granny" when the two aren't even related. Well I hope they aren't anyway.

    One has to wonder why Rooney’s *whoever* wish to appoint him as manager. It’s not like he’s much cop at this management lark. Do they expect to sell shed loads of training kit with WR on the chest?

    But it's why he keeps getting jobs, especially at Birmingham.

    We watched the Wagatha documentary last night. My girlfriend knew nothing about it, and I knew very little because I'd somehow mercifully managed to avoid most of it. I was floored at how silly the whole thing was. 

    Also, I will say I'm not Rooney's biggest fan but he always comes across as an affable oaf.

    Contacts are a big thing. Being able to attract players, having the contacts to bring loans in. For ex-PL stars like Lampard and Rooney, that stuff is probably as important as any coaching nous.

    He's a bit like Lampard.  He'll keep getting jobs he is not qualified to do because of his name and his history.

    Brilliant footballer but, lets be honest, nobody expected him to have the intelligence to be a successful manager surely.
